“Charlie” had been at the vets due to having lameness in his left hind leg. Upon diagnosis, it was established that he had a small lesion on the lateral branch of his suspensory ligament at the fetlock along with mild inflammation of the proximal suspensory ligament on the same leg.

Some handmade aluminium shoes were applied to stop the lateral aspect and toe of the left foot from sinking while still allowing the medial aspect to sink as normal. An Aluminium shoe was also applied to the right hind to keep his limbs balanced.Keep an eye out for more progress of this case.
